What is Movement Coaching?
We will work together to help you understand your body’s needs. Needs that are unique to you, your health and life journey.
- To reduce the relative risk of injury and ill health
- To build a plan to improve your recovery and mobility.
- To ensure your core is engaged (core stability)
- To make your body functional and MOVING FREELY.
We will explore why your movement is creating pain, stiffness or recurring injuriesand create a coaching package to suit your needs and aspirations.
What is involved in Movement Coaching?
We start with a detailed consultation of your past movement and health and uncover what you want to achieve from the program. I assess how well your body is performing, using the BODYMOT wellness screening and an Intrinsic Biomechanics screening to decide where we should start. From the information that I gather I will develop a treatment plan specific to your needs.
Sessions may include:
- Clinical Neuromuscular Massage
- Aromatherapy
- Core stability training
- Corrective exercise program
- Wellness log data collection
- BODYMOT Screening (click here to discover what’s involved)
- Biomechanics movement screening
- K -Tape
- Primitive reflex reintegration
- Heart rate variability training
- Breathing practices
- Zoom MOVEFREELY Sessions
- Nutriment support
Movement coaching plans
This unique approach to movement issues looking at your body’s systems on a cellular level.
If we are not functioning optimally, we may not be able to repair or recover from the daily loads of life, let alone training, sports and hobbies. On a structural level; what are your real-life risks to injury or poor movement patterns that create pain and stiffness? What things do you avoid doing so that you don’t have these issues?
We will work together over a three-month period (minimum) to assess your needs. We will make effective changes through clinical neuromuscular massage, corrective exercises, lifestyle adjustments and develop understanding of where your issues are driven from so that you can stop being reactive to pain, become proactive and start MOVING FREELY.
Data collection is an important part of the process as it keeps us both honest. Having health and movement markers at the start, gives us a reference point. Retesting as we go to see how we are progressing and making effective adjustments to your plan along the way are all essential to achieving your movement goals.
